At Highland Business Center and Co-working Space, our mission is to help small businesses WIN through personal growth and collaboration. We do this by fostering a comfortable and vibrant coworking center where personal development, business growth, education, collaboration and community are at its heart. 

Our vision is to make commercial office spaces, actionable education and mastermind groups accessible to businesses whether they’re just starting out or growing by leaps and bounds. 

In addition to a variety of work spaces, including floating desks, designated desks, private offices and commercial spaces, we offer workshops, courses and mastermind groups to help entrepreneurs launch and implement systems to grow their businesses.

We are located in the growing community of New Bern, North Carolina, but also offer remote executive business coaching as well as support with creating a brand package, social media presence and the tools to care for your personal and professional self through our unique approach to goal setting, using science and lean six sigma tools.

We offer the perfect shared office space membership option for your business, whether you’re just starting out or growing by leaps and bounds. All Membership Levels (except Education Only Membership) include the following benefits:

Shared Office Space Membership

$150/month, access M-F, 8am-5pm

Who is this for? New business owners who are ready to migrate out of their homes and need a public mailing address for customer and email provider purposes or remote workers interested in working with other professionals instead of at home. Note: Shared Office Members may NOT use their Highland Address in a Google Business Profile.

The shared office space membership includes full access to the coworking spaces in the common areas. This membership is perfect for connecting with others, cultivating community, and allowing for flexible work hours at desks, sofas or cafe tables. This membership includes two hours of conference room space (member MUST be present when non-members meet them in the conference room), cafe amenities and copy/print station.

Dedicated Desk Membership

$250/month, access M-F, 8am-5pm

Who is this for? Business owners who expect to consistently work in their own, designated space. Designated Desk members should have the following in place before applying for this level of membership:

  • An EIN Number for their business,

  • A registered entity with the state of North Carolina,

  • A business bank account.

  • Business insurance.

  • Dedicated Desk members may use their designated address in a Google Business Profile with a 1 year contract. HBC will list the business on street signage, on the front of the building as well as in the designated space for photographic evidence of the address to Google.

The dedicated desk membership includes all the perks of the shared office space membership with the benefit of having your very own dedicated space with your own desk with locking file drawer, chair and guest chair. Dedicated Desk members may respectfully decorate their space with personal items. This membership includes four hours of conference room space (member MUST be present when non-members meet them in the conference room) for times when you need privacy to meet with clients.

Who is this for? Business owners who would like to participate in Highland's monthly workshops and receive 50% off all paid programs and online education offered through Outcome Academy. Note: Education Only Members may NOT use the Highland Address in a Google Business Profile.

Benefits: The education membership includes access to members only programming and workshops This membership is perfect for connecting with others and learning actionable business information each month. Members always receive 50% off all paid programming. For example, the Small Business Intensive would no longer be $497- it's only $248.50 for members! Private Office Membership

1 year contract required

Who is this for? Business owners who expect to consistently work in their own, private space. Private Office members should have the following in place before applying for this level of membership:

  • An EIN Number for their business,

  • A registered entity with the state of North Carolina,

  • A business bank account.

  • Business insurance.

  • Private Office members may use their designated address in a Google Business Profile and require a 1 year contract. (HBC will list the business on street signage, the front of the building as well as in the designated space for photographic evidence of the address to Google).

The private office membership includes all the perks of the dedicated desk membership with the benefit of having a private office space with a locking door. Note: Offices are unfurnished, considered the business’ personal space and may be decorated however they wish, but members may not paint or damage the ceiling, walls or flooring. This membership includes four hours of conference room space (member MUST be present when non-members meet them in the conference room) for times when you need additional space to meet with clients.

Occupied by Cavalry Appliance Service- 1210-B Highland Avenue, private space inside the Coworking Center. $600/month, 7am-5pm access.

Occupied by Emerald Coast Bookkeeping- 1210-C Highland Avenue, private space inside the Coworking Center. $400/month, 7am-5pm access.

Commercial Tenant Spaces

1 year contract required.

Who is this for? Business owners who expect to consistently work in their own, private space. Commercial Tenant members should have the following in place before applying for this level of membership:

  • An EIN Number for their business,

  • A registered entity with the state of North Carolina,

  • A business bank account.

  • Business insurance.

  • Commercial Tenant members may use their designated address in a Google Business Profile and require a 1 year contract. A 3x6 sign frame will be provided above exterior of space (tenant must engage Highland Business Center’s sign company for approved signage) and HBC will list the business on street signage.

The commercial tenant spaces include all the perks of the private office membership with the benefit of 24/7 access to the private space and 7am-5pm access to the coworking space. This membership includes four hours of conference room space (member MUST be present when non-members meet them in the conference room) for times when you need additional space to meet with clients. Commercial space doors may be personalized with the business logo and/or name of the business or member’s name in white, black or gold lettering whatever their preference.

Occupied by Cleaning by Kate- 1210-G Highland Avenue, private entry from front of building to the right of the coworking space, $800/month. 25.5ft deep X 15.5ft wide.

Occupied by Artisan Studios- 1210-H Highland Avenue, private entry from front of building to the right of the coworking space, plumbed, $800/month. 30.5ft deep X 15.5ft wide.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Conference Room and Education Space Rental- First-come, first served sign up via our coworking app. Members receive priority access to the reservation calendar, but spaces are available to non-members.

  • Conference Room- $32/hour (1.5 hour minimum- 15 min set up, 60 min meeting, 15 min wrap up)

  • Evening Education Space- $100 (5pm-9pm)

  • Saturday Education Space

    • 8am-12pm- $100

    • 8am-5pm- $200 (please reserve both half day slots, 12-1pm break included)
